Introduction

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) manufactures state-of-the-art electronic products and systems for the Army, Navy and the Air Force. BEL has also diversified into various areas like homeland security solutions, smart cities, e-governance solutions, space electronics including satellite integration, energy storage products including e-vehicle charging stations, solar, network & cyber security, railways & metro solutions, airport solutions, Electronic Voting Machines, telecom products, passive night vision devices, medical electronics, composites and software solutions.

Project Objectives

At Infoneo, we partnered with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) to conceptualize, design, and deliver the BE-AgSmart – eKrishi Digital Agriculture Platform, AI-driven platform (Web & Mobile) designed to automate Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) operations and enhance efficiency. The platform aimed to create a digital ecosystem to support farmers with smart agriculture tools like IoT sensors, weather data, and GIS services.

Our objective was to:
  • Develop a farmer-centric digital ecosystem to enhance procurement, production, and marketing efficiency for Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) by improving decision-making, mitigating climate impacts, and promoting sustainable growth.
  • Build a Centralized Command and Control Centre (ICCC) for real-time monitoring and decision-making.
  • Use AI/ML and deep learning models for crop health monitoring, groundwater forecasting, and yield estimation.
